What should I do first when an appliance shows an error code?
Write the code down exactly, then find the model number on the label inside the door, lid or tub frame. Turn the appliance off and unplug it before you open a filter or look behind it. Then follow the maker's checks for that code, and stop where the maker says to request service.
Which appliance repairs should I leave to a technician?
